Community Outreach Liaison: Conduct educational outreach about the North Shore Land Alliance at schools, libraries, and events across Long Island. You can also assist with demonstrations, register individuals for upcoming events, and distribute promotional material.
Garden Attendant: Assist in garden activities at the Humes Japanese Stroll Garden or the Roosevelt Community Garden. Call for more information.
*Educator/Naturalist: Facilitate nature walks, field trips, and events to help children and adults gain a better understanding and respect for the natural world.
Land Stewards: Remove invasive plants, restore and maintain trails, mark property boundaries, plant native species, and help with other maintenance-oriented activities.
Office Assistant: Assist with research, database and records entries, and organizing archival materials.
Photographer/Videographer: Capture beautiful images and videos of our events as well as our flora and fauna in our preserves to be featured in various publications and on our website.
*Plant & Wildlife Monitor: Document the appearance of birds, insects, plants, trees, and other wildlife at one or more of our preserves.
