Is this the End for the Land and Water Conservation Fund?

As the Trump administration prepares to submit its first budget, proposals have surfaced to drastically reduce or even eliminate appropriations for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) — America’s most important federal land and water conservation program which funds essential programs in all 50 states.

Please join us in asking our representatives in Congress – Kathleen Rice and Tom Suozzi – to help us defend this critically important program by signing on to H.R. 502, legislation reintroduced in mid-January by Congressmen Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) and Patrick Meehan (R-PA ) to permanently authorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

* To reach the office of Congresswoman Kathleen Rice please call (202) 225-5516 (DC) or (516) 739-3008 (local) or email her staffer for the environment [email protected].

* To reach the office of Congressman Tom Suozzi please call (202) 225-3335 (DC) or (631) 923-4100 (local) or email his staffer for the environment [email protected].
