Here is a superlative Grande Fine Champagne- as remarkable for its history as for its quality .  It came from Sherry Wine & Spirits directly from the farm of a vineyard owner in the heart of the Cognac country – the grapes were grown on Monsieur Ragnaud’s own hillside acres in a great vintage year: they were pressed and became wine in his own cellars; the wine was distilled into Cognac in his own pot-still and put to age in the finest oak cask obtainable.

Until its day of bottling, this Cognac had never left that cask, never been blended, never been sweetened nor colored, nor tampered with.

According to importer Frank Schoonmaker this Cognac “is that rarest of rarities – an estate-bottled Grande Fine Champagne, impeccable, authoritative, rich and fine – Cognac at its best.”
